Provoking thought #1; (Philosopher’s root)
This is two separate tree roots that grew in the ground like that naturally. After harvesting it from the earth it took 3 years to dry it out and then sand it. I coated it with a water based finish, and then hand applied the gold leaf. The base is made of a sustainably harvested Massachusetts Choke Cherry, it was dried for over a year, and then it was planed and cut by another wood craftsman before I got it.
